Q.Will reiki cure me?

A.We are not allowed too claim to cure any illness or ailment, reiki is purely a complementary therapy and is not a medical aid as defined by law. Many people have noticed a decrease in certain symptoms of ailments after receiving reiki healing. Research has shown that up 70% of people have benefited from reiki.

Q.Do I have to tell my Dr I am having reiki?

A.In an ideal world everyone who tries complementary therapies would be happy to discuss this with their G.P, although advisable it is not necessary for you to tell anyone that you are receiving treatment. Certain ailments may require specific information from a G.P or consultant, although this will be discussed with you during your initial consultation.

Q.Do I stop taking my medication?

A.NO! reiki is a form of complementary medicine, we work alongside orthodox medicine not against it! no reiki practitioner or any complementary therapist should ever suggest that you cease any form of medicine diagnosed by a health care professional.

Q.Do I have to get undressed?

A.NO! a reiki practitioner will never ask you to undress.You are fully clothed throughout, you may be requested to remove a belt or your shoes and sometimes certain types of jewellery. Loose fitting clothes should be worn if possible.

Q.Will the practitioner touch me?

A.Reiki is a hands off healing treatment and it is not necessary for the practitioner to touch you during treatment in nearly all cases, although for some ailments it may be better if the practitioner has direct contact with the site, your permission will be asked prior to treatment commencing.

Q.Can I learn reiki?

A. Previous studies have shown that 96 out of 100 people can learn reiki you do not need any special power or psychic ability or even knowledge.
